Article published in the The Sunday Times on 24 March 1957: \nFleming writes about his evolving relationship with a local octopus in Jamaica. Initially viewing octopuses as frightening and formidable probably no living creature inspires such universal loathing and terror as the octopus. He describes observing one slumbering beneath shallow water, camouflaged and vulnerable, and that encounter shifted his perspective. He names his octopus Pussy, noting how he welcomed it as a pet of sorts and reflects on its remarkable intelligence and capacity for disguise and escape. \n \nThe original article is in good condition - has been folded- and has a little edge wear - framed and mounted in a 50.8cm x 40.6cm box frame and presents very nicely indeed. \nPublished 9 year before Octopussy (and the Living Daylights) was, posthumously, published by Jonathan Cape. \n
