A Stratocaster-style electric guitar with a Union Jack finish, SIGNED by both Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher in black marker to the cream scratchplate. With three single-coil pickups, white controls and chrome hardware. In very good condition.

According to the supplied provenance, the guitar was signed following Coldplay’s concert at the Bowery Ballroom, 6 Delancey Street, Manhattan, New York, on 12 August 2002.

Both Gallagher brothers watched the concert from the balcony. During the performance, Chris Martin dedicated ‘God Put a Smile upon Your Face’ to people recently involved in car accidents—a reference to Noel, who had been injured the previous week during Oasis’s American tour. Later, Martin returned to the piano to perform Liam’s ‘Songbird’, from Heathen Chemistry. The contemporary report describes Noel getting to his feet, whistling and cheering as Martin played the opening chords. These details were reported by NME on 13 August 2002.

Authenticated by PSA/DNA, with authentication label H29504 affixed to the scratchplate. The corresponding PSA record confirms an “Authentic” result and specifically identifies the signatures of Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher.
