A first edition, first printing of �The Snowman� published by Hamish Hamilton in 1978. A very good copy with browning to the edges - without inscriptions. Accompanied by a limited edition print from the book - hand-signed by Raymond Briggs. Also comes with first day covers from Christmas 2004 and an additional letter from Royal Mail. The runner-up for the Kate Greenaway Medal from the Library Association, recognising the year's best children's book illustration by a British writer. In the United States, it was named to the Lewis Carroll Shelf Award list in 1979. The Snowman remains one of the best loved children�s books of all time and was made into a successful television symphonic animation in 1982.
