In full: �Ronald Ross 3.9.30.� Ronald Ross (1857�1932) was a British doctor and scientist who discovered that malaria is transmitted by mosquitoes, revolutionising tropical medicine. Working mainly in India, he identified the malaria parasite in mosquitoes in 1897. For this breakthrough, he received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1902. Ross later worked in public health, helping develop malaria prevention strategies and shaping modern understanding of infectious disease transmission.
